Clean Eating Challenge – Day 10

Woooo, day 10! I made it to double-digits! Four more days to go.

Breakfast today was two pieces of Ezekiel bread with two tbsp. almond butter, with five giant strawberries.

For a snack I had a 1/2 cup of part-skim ricotta cheese with a 1/2 cup frozen cherries, and about a tbsp. of chopped walnuts. I secretly dreamed this would taste like cheesecake and it KINDA did, but it was still a far cry from the real thing. SAD FACE. Still good though.

may05-2

Lunch was leftovers from yesterday’s gazpacho salad. I was supposed to have it with a side of chick peas, but you know me, I just mixed it all together. This was actually REALLY good, especially since the flavours had time to marinate overnight.

may05-3

Dinner was supposed to mahi mahi, but I couldn’t find any so I substituted tilapia. I figured white fish is white fish, right? I broiled it with a bit of lemon juice and some dill, and had it with a cup of brown rice, a cup of steamed zucchini, and four asparagus spears. Yum. I need to start cooking fish more often. Broiling was super easy – this whole meal came together in under ten minutes, can you believe that?

may05-5

I was supposed to have an apple for a snack this afternoon, but I didn’t have time, so I ate it after dinner instead. Look how pretty and stripe-y this gala apple is!

may05-6

Now I must tell you about a problem I’m having. It’s called SHOPPING ON MY LUNCH HOUR. !!! I’ve decided that since it’s nice out now, I should be going outside and walking around on my lunch hours – but the problem is my feet seem to keep taking me up to Bloor Street where there are far too many nice and enticing things.

I also seem to be buying wild and crazy things that are totally unlike me – like make-up from Sephora, giant sunglasses, leopard-print peep-toe flats, even a hot-pink pencil skirt (size12!). WHO AM I???

Here’s what I bought today, let’s not even discuss how much I spent.

may05-4

I better look pretty tomorrow or I am going to be very disappointed!
